LaserTrucks+ Transportation System
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011Within any manual distribution center, a large portion of operators’ time is taken up by the transportation of product: from goods-in to storage, replenishment and picking, marshalling, loading and more. Apart from the non-value added effort and cost, each is a risk for damage to product and equipment. What if you could automate your warehouse trucks and pallet movers with the latest in industrial grade laser guidance technology, freeing up your operators for more productive work? Introducing LaserTrucks+ delivering improved productivity, safety and operational transparency while retaining ultimate logistics flexibility.
Slow Movers Module
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011Slow moving SKUs are expensive to store and expensive to pick. In many operations, slow movers are spread out across the warehouse at floor level for picking - taking up valuable space and forcing workers to travel great distance in order to pick orders. Pallet rack is often under-utilized, carrying just enough product to support replenishment of the floor level pick face. This waste of warehouse space and resources for slow movers drives the cost per item up, making it an ideal opportunity for automation. Dematic’s Slow Movers Module uses proven Miniload AS/RS technology to dynamically slot active SKUs at picking level.
Multishuttle High Performance Container Handling System
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011These requirements can all be met by Dematic Multishuttle – a flexible warehouse system with throughput that can be scaled over wide ranges. Two basic concepts are available. In the “Roaming” process, storage capacity and throughput can be adapted independently of each other during the life of the system. The “Captive” storage principle represents the configuration with the highest possible throughout and scalable capacity. Both systems have the same components and can be used in parallel. This reduces the number of spare parts that need to be held in stock and cuts training costs. It’s also possible to combine several functions in one storage area.
Modular Conveyor Systems
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011Modular Conveyor System, or MCS, is a totally integrated packag e conveyor technology. Whether you are handling cases, totes, trays, poly bags, or parcel envelopes, MCS offers a complete range of modules to create a highly efficient material flow configuration. MCS is often integr ated with other devices such as scanners, sorters, label print and apply devices, case sealers, in-line weigh scales, palletizers, and robotics. MCS uses a universal side frame for all modules. This design feature allows for easier reconfiguration as your operation changes. MCS is made up of over 30 standard conveyor models that allow you to configure the most optimized conveyor network for your application.
The RapidPick System
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011It’s a high performance solution that creates logistics results. Engineered with modular components, it scales and expands when your requirements change. It is called The RapidPick System, the most productive way to provide “goods to person” order fulfillment. The RapidPick System is all about efficiently staging and transferring items to the order selector with speed and accuracy in a comfortable work environment. That’s why it’s smarter, faster, ergonomic order fulfillment. It’s smarter because the operator stays in one place while items are delivered to the pick station in precise sequence.

Unit-Load Systems
Added by Dematic on November 06, 2011Dematic Unit-Load systems are designed to handle a variety of standard and custom loads, including pallets, rolls, and containers. Unit-Load pallet handling machines utilize lifting carriages equipped with telescopic forks, satellites, or other load extracting devices. Single deep, double deep or deep lane storage configuration loads can be accommodated. Alternative, pre-engineered extraction/insertion devices are available to suit your product type and size. Large products are handled gently and consistently. Storage Retrieval Machines can be mated to transfer cars that allow them to work multiple aisles within the rack. Many types of interfacing transportation systems are available.

Paperless Pick/Put System
Added by GBI Data & Sorting Systems on November 05, 2011GBI offers our Paperless Pick/Put-to-Light System as an economical alternative to manual picking or placing of product for lower volume operations. It is designed to electronically assist sorting personnel in pulling (pick) or placing (put) SKU’s to meet order requirements. In a "pick-to-light" application the operator would scan the order and the quantity to be picked is displayed on the "display module" at the bin location. In a "put-to-light" application the product is pulled from the carton and placed with the order in the appropriate quantities as indicated by the "display module".
