Bags are conveyed and slide down the chute. The bag sliding down the chute and impacting at the bottom shifts the product to the leading end of the bag. This creates a large end on the leading edge of the bag which is sometimes preferred in overlap stacking. The amount of product shift or conditioning can be adjusted by changing the amount of drop in the chute. This is accomplished by changing the conveyor angle via the hand crank winch. If a product does not require conditioning the chute can be tied off below the conveyor allowing for a horizontal transfer (subject to installation clearances).
