AutoTherm utilizes computer controlled cartridge heaters at the die lip that add and reduce heat to precisely control film thickness. Resulting in: material savings, faster conversion rates, and improved film quality. AutoTherm operates in conjunction with all of Alpine's dies, including monolayer, three layer co-ex, and five to eight layer packaging film dies up to 700mm in diameter.

MX8000 contains a waveguide down which a microwave signal is transmitted. When a paper sample is inserted, the waveguide is split in two by the paper and the water molecules within the paper attenuate the microwave signal, the attenuation being proportional to the amount of water in the paper; the detector then measures the “microwave loss” and converts this signal to a per cent moisture value.

The RMGZ 400/500/600 Series Force Measuring Rollers are used to measure the tension in wire, cable, and similar materials. An application specific sheave or pulley is mounted to the rotating flange which is mounted to a lifetime lubricated ball bearing. Foil type strain gauges in a full Wheatstone Bridge configuration perform the actual tension measurement. The red point on the back of the sensor indicates the positive measuring direction. A mechanical overload stop ensures that even under extreme conditions, the FMS sensor performs consistently and is virtually indestructible. The RMGZ 400/500/600 sensor series design ensures that even with low material wrap angles tension will be measured accurately.

The EMGZ 321, a left /right strain gauge amplifier, measures the material tension on both sides of the roller independently. Thus it is possible to monitor the load distribution over the measuring roller with great accuracy. The EMGZ 321 series can be used in connection with all FMS force sensors. This high-grade product comes as a plug & play unit and is easy to setup. More advanced users can access all the internal parameters via a clearly arranged front panel, through an Ethernet /IP interface, or in a peer-to-peer configuration from a laptop or local PC.

The EMGZ 307 Series is a single channel analog Tension Measuring Amplifier based on a hybrid circuit. There can be 1 or 2 force sensors connected. All settings are done with 10-turn trimmers which are easily accessible. Additional jumpers allow the system to operate with fixed gain and offset (when operating with PLC or PC). For filtering the output signals, capacitors can be added. The IP 67 aluminum housing is designed specifically for use in harsh conditions.

The DMGZ 300 Series load cells measure force in the direction of the center axis of the sensor. A force is applied via threaded shaft, or other means, to the measuring mechanism of the sensor. They can provide both compression or tension measurement. The integrated high overload protection protects the sensor against damage. Recalibration is not required. The FMS DMGZ 300 Series compression / tension load cells utilize four foil-type strain gauges in a full wheatstone bridge configuration mounted on the sensor sleeve. This accurate and robust measuring method is ideal to work in harsh environments.
