<td>On May 8th, 2009 Stockton State Park was hit by a windstorm that swept across the entire southern portion of Missouri and on in to other states. The windstorm wreaked havoc on whatever it came in contact with; buildings, trees, cars and wave attenuators. The wave attenuators, better known as breakwaters, at Stockton Lake suffered considerable damage. Although the breakwater was constructed out of steel forms, it could not withstand the pressures of the high winds. The steel buckled and broke under the strain. Stockton State Park is now in the process of replacing the damaged breakwater with large pieces of floating concrete. Neal’s Construction of Stockton, MO was awarded the bid for general contractor of the project.</td>

<td>Valéron® is your answer to sustainable pilfer-resistant packaging. For retail and industrial packaging solutions, you need the strength of Valéron® film; a cross-laminated high-density flexible film that offers unbeatable tear, burst and puncture resistance. Valéron® is being used today inside trap blister format packaging for retail and pharmaceutical packaging. Valéron® is placed between the board and blister giving the package the strength that is required to make it a pilfer-resistant package. Using Valéron® reinforced trap blister format packaging eliminates 50-70% of the plastic compared with a clamshell package.</td>

<td>While you may think that a company that produces plastic films would be threatened by the move toward sustainability and “green” packaging, Houston based Valeron Strength Films is embracing sustainability. Valeron offers a “doing more with less” approach to packaging, which can eliminate 25% - 75% of the plastic from many types of consumer packaging. Valeron film is a unique product made of very thin plies of oriented polyethylene that are spiral cut and cross laminated to provide a high strength film that “does more with less.” No other synthetic has the strength, durability, puncture resistance and initiated tear resistance of Valeron.</td>

<td>Coextrusion allows the creation of ultra-thin layers within a film. This material reduction means that there is no need to pay for more resin than is actually needed for each of the layers. If the same material were to be added as a monofilm lamination, it would have to be much thicker to survive the converting process. Coextrusion allows Danafilms to provide you with constructions that perform multiple feats at once. An outer layer might be designed for special slip characteristics, abrasion resistance, or printability. Other layers might provide barrier properties, formability, temperature resistance, and others. The inside layer might be designed as a strong or weak sealant layer that also provides safe direct contact with food.</td>

When applied at high pre-stretch, Magnum is a differential cling film. The enhanced strength and stretch characteristics mean minimum film usage while providing maximum load-holding on less demanding loads. Down-gauging not recommended for heavy B or unstable C loads.</td>
