The Soup Peddler prints labels on the fly for its ever-changing menu of fresh soups and entrees using a QuickLabel Pronto! 486 barcode printer, custom-printed logo labels from QuickLabel’s QuickFlex™ service, and a simple database integration between their Volusion® point of sale e-commerce software and Nicelabel Pro barcode labeling software.

Besides printing each of their labels with a unique product photo and their brand logo (designed by KODA Creative in Arizona), the Zeo! inkjet label printer allows Bite Me Brownies to experiment with new flavors and print labels as they go, rather than ordering 500 or 1000 labels that they do not need in order to meet printing minimums. “We love, love, love our Zeo! It is really a wonderful asset to our business,” Mericle said. The Zeo! has allowed Bite Me Brownies to expand their business to include custom labeled brownies. The Plexo! 453 has all the same features as the Plexo! 653, including adjustable label print speed up to 5 ips and 300 dpi print resolution, but has a narrower print width at 4.17” wide (106mm).
