A.C. Horn & Co.’s Feathertouch 2000 confidently guarantees our larger-capacity whole nut blancher makes a better looking nut than any other blancher in existence. Unlike blanchers which use abrasive rolls, our patented Model 346-C uses rubber elements to produce the highest quality, best-looking nuts with the least amount of shrinkage - no scratches anywhere. And true to its name, it gently blanches 2000 pounds per hour of peanuts for snack foods, confectionery candy and similar products.

The Model M563 Popcorn ball maker from A.C. Horn/ Cantrell International has been upgraded with PLC and servo motor drive. Speeds up to 80 balls per minute. Frame, hopper and catch pans are constructed of stainless steel for easy sanitation. Hopper comes complete with internal heaters and product agitators.

The only collator on the market specifically designed for today’s 130+ bag per minute vertical form, fill and seal machines. This machine gently catches, then conveys the bags into our proprietary twin packing rows, allowing packers to work independently. Efficient and ergonomically friendly, the Double Lane Collator stacks and counts bags, minimizing musculoskeletal stresses and labor requirements.

This highly versatile, single-disk attrition mill can be used in all kinds of production and laboratory applications of both industrial and food products. Painstakingly made to exacting tole races, this 8-inch mill can pulverize, grind, granulate, comminute, crack, fluff and texturize a wide variety of items with a precision unmatched by other mills. The legendary Bauer 148 Mill has long been recommended by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the preparation of cottonseed samples (this sampling requires Bauer Plate No. 8503 and a mill speed of 3600 RPM).

For the highest quality in blanched peanuts, choose the blancher that’s No. 1 in the world: A.C. Horn & Co. 341-B Nut Blancher. It removes the skins & hearts from dried or fully roaster peanuts for the smoothes, cleanest nuts possible - absolutely no traces of worn edges anywhere. Up to 2,000 pounds per hour of roasted or dried peanuts can be blanched free of meal & with less shrinkage than any other blancher on the market. Operation is simple & reliable. The 341-B first splits the nuts & removes the skins; the hearts are then removed from the halves. Screening separated the halves from the hearts, and aspiration totally removes the skins from the process.

A Rotary Table molded ABS Plastic, countersunk, one piece top measuring 48” dia. is ideal for effortless packaging. The center shaft has a 300 in/lbs of torque and low center of gravity to ensure stability. A counter clockwise rotation of 4.5 rpm gives the packer a consistent flow of product as he or she fills their cases. In the base of this unit the chain drive has been concealed. A totally enclosed fan cooled 115/60 gear head and over-load circuit breaker protections are standard safety features.

The Packoff Conveyor is another of our packaging solutions. Designed with the operator in mind, all of these systems are fully adjustable for operator comfort, thus minimizing labor requirements normally associated with case packing. Our Packoff Conveyor accepts the bags from the packaging machine, gently conveying them to the rotary table for packing.

These precision built machines are engineered to give you decades of superior performance and durability. Optional features can be purchased to produce Kettle Corn at capacities of 400 to 1000 lbs/hr. Putting quality into the entire process. The 320 Cooker/Coater has the A.C. Horn & Co. quality and more, all built into its unique single process design. Ingredients are added when the pre-programmed temperature set points are reached and the alarm is activated. The cooking/coating process continues until the coated corn is ready! This Cooker/Coater is ideal for caramel corn, peaunut brittle, kettle corn (with optional agitator) and other candies. With a single 320 producing up to 100 lbs/hr, you can count on the same consistent quality you have come to expect in all of A.C. Horn’s/Cantrell’s snack food equipment. With an alternate flight system, this unit can Oil-Pop popcorn at approximately 70/lbs hour.
