GT Series Advanced Designs
The GTL models form, fill “bottom up” and seal gable top
cartons in sizes ranging in standard cross-section from 177 ml to
1.15 liters (6 oz. to 38 oz.).
The GTN models fill “top down” and accommodate 100 ml to 500
ml (4 oz. to 16 oz.) Eco-Pak® mini cross-section cartons. GTL- and
GTN-30 machines operate at speeds up to 3000 cartons per hour.
GTL- and GTN-60 models are rated at 6000 cartons per hour.

Standard Machine Enclosures — enhance product quality
and freshness.
HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filtration
system — effectively creates a self-contained “clean room”
environment for the fill section when used in combination with
the standard machine enclosures.
Auto Sanitize — protects against contamination by spraying
sanitizing solution on critical product contact surfaces in the form
and fill sections.
Self-Contained CIP — provides thorough, automatic cleaning
of the fill system, and requires no daily hand cleaning of fill bowls.

Forming & Sealing
the Carton Bottom
The machine pulls carton blanks from the easy-filling magazine,
which holds up to 375 cartons for each line. Each blank is opened
and squared, then positioned onto one of five mandrels.
Clean, simple electric ovens heat the bottom flaps, which are pressed
pneumatically against a stainless steel form. The Pyramid Bottom is
made up of a number of stepped indentations in the bottom seal. This
creates a smoother outer edge and strengthens the carton bottom,
providing a flat plane for the carton to rest on the shelf.

Filling the Carton
As cartons enter the filling area, a breaker station pre-forms the top flaps of the
cartons. With a carton in place, the GTL’s fill mechanism lifts the carton and draws it down
as the positive displacement metering system provides accurate, foamless filling.
When no carton is sensed, no fill takes place. No carton lift is necessary with
the GTN.
The product tank fills automatically. Below-normal product level shuts off
carton feed. The CIP (Clean-in-Place) product tank is standard.
The infinite fill adjustment on the GT Series machines allows you to
adjust the fill volume and carton height quickly and easily. A switch is held
down until the counter indicator reaches the desired number. Elevator rail
adjusts in seconds, not minutes.

Forming & Sealing
the Carton Top
Evergreen machines have long been famous for leak-free, ready-toopen top seals.
The familiar gable top shape is formed by a modular, pneumatic,
top folder.
Top heater, which utilizes a simple electric oven, is pneumatically
driven. The heater is easy to clean and maintain.
Top seal jaws are easy to adjust and maintain. Low pressure return
air reduces air consumption and wear on parts.
