EQ-5 machines from Evergreen™ Packaging help
you get dairy and juice products to the shelf fast.
Equipped with a variable frequency drive with
a choice of seven speeds, the EQ-5 is capable
of forming, filling and sealing US quart gable top
cartons at up to 120 per minute, liters at up to 112
per minute and all fractional sizes at up to 150 per
minute. You can fill two carton sizes at one time
for improved production scheduling.

Improve operator efficiency. All critical machine controls
and monitors are conveniently located at carton infeed.
Color computer screen provides graphical status and
control functions. Primary machine functions can be
viewed at a glance on main summary screen. Maintenance
functions contain text available in multiple languages
(specified at ordering). Input by means of moistureimpervious membrane panel.
Automate Clean-In-Place (CIP) and sanitizing.
Self-contained, computer-controlled systems. Save
machine wear during CIP–conveyors do not move.
Automate carton size changing. Merely select desired
size at the control panel. Adjust elevator rail heights
precisely in a ma er of seconds. Simply move fill pin
locations to change fill volume without compromising
machine sterility. Adjust carton stops mechanically from
the infeed area without touching mandrels.
Control mandrel condensate. A semiautomatic system
adjusts captive controlled solution to above ambient air
dew point.
Auto-sanitize mandrels, top breakers and top sealers.
Built-in system sanitizes indirect product contact surfaces
with suitable solution.
Titanium mandrels and stainless steel mandrel sha .
Improve sanitation and resist caustics, sanitizers and
citric/lactic acids. Maintenance is reduced.
Automatic lubrication. Machine is equipped with an
automatic system for grease.
Long-lasting belt drive system. Requires no lubrication
of belts; lasts longer than roller chains and reduces
maintenance. Machine noise level is also reduced.
Achieve more accurate and sanitary fills. Positive
displacement product-to-product hermetically sealed
metering bowl system. Product floods the area
surrounding fill valves and piston (see diagram).
By preventing air from entering, the chance of
product contamination is decreased and
foam is minimized.

sealing heats and seals each carton top twice! Ideal for
both regular and barrier boards.

up to 450 carton blanks for each line.
12 Less paper & product waste. Built-in infeed-stopping
sensors detect low infeed magazine levels, infeed carton
jams and downline conveyor back-ups. Product tank levels
maintained electronically. Fully automated sequential
start-up and shut-down of both bo om and top ovens and
sealers. When there’s no carton, there’s no fill.
Resealable SPOUT-PAK® option. An optional automated
assembly is available for a aching resealable, plastic pour
spouts.
