QT700 VISION INSPECTION SYSTEM
QT700 Vision System for Closure Inspection
The FT System QT700 Vision system will detect defects in plastic and
metal closures prior to the closure being applied to the container. The
system uses cameras to inspect each closure at full production speeds.
The system will detect defective caps that may prevent proper container
closure, affect the performance of the capper or create a jam in the cap
chute.

 Missing or Damaged tamper band
 Broken bridges that lead to
deformation

QT700 VISION TECHNOLOGY – Theory of Operation
The FT System QT700 Closure Inspection system uses
independent inspection units, top down and optional side view to
capture the image of each closure. Each unit includes a camera
with microprocessor for image acquisition and processing and
industrial optics. The enclosed inspection tunnel utilizes an
analog light driver to control lighting intensity. As the closure
passes through the system the independent cameras capture the
image of the closure. Each feature of the closure is then
analyzed to determine if the feature is within the user defined
tolerances. The system will analyse the cap height in relation to
the reference point at multiple locations across each axis. The
system will also analyse the tamper band to determine if the
band is damaged or missing.
