Overview
Our Target Barcode Inspection System for Unit Dose
Pharmaceutical applications inspects bar codes on unit dose
packages as they pass down a conveyor. When inspecting doses
packaged in strips, it can also count to ensure that the correct
number of doses are included in the final packaged strip. The
system is designed to compliment unit dose packaging machines
aiding packagers in achieving Bar Code Medication Administration
(BCMA) quality objectives.
The system consists of a System Controller, Motorized Conveyor,
and Scanning Head. The conveyor is controlled by the system and
automatically delivers packages for inspection through the
inspection station. The system generates audible signals for pass or
fail. On detection of an error the system emits an audible warning
and stops the conveyor for operator intervention.
Screening with Target Barcodes Systems during post printing,
assembly and labeling operations can prevent costly errors by
identifying incorrect stock and incorrect counts early in the
production process. Our systems capture statistics that can
integrate as metrics into your continuous improvement processes.
